Why We Have A PAC Problem In Sussex County

It is happening all over New Jersey. If you want to know why professional vendors are forming PACs as a way to bully elected officials into giving them government contracts, njbiz reported yesterday that “law firm revenues recorded an historic drop in 2011”. That’s it. They need the money. Your tax money.

In Sussex County, the Skylands Victory PAC is made up of government-contract vendors and is controlled by Vernon Township’s Municipal Attorney and its “Special” Municipal Attorney. Why two municipal attorneys? Because having two employs two PAC attorneys, and that is better than employing just one. But not for the taxpayers who have to pay the bill, of course!
